Oxley gets green light for 741 BTR units in Connolly Quarter
Oxley Holding has been granted a strategic housing development application by An Bord Pleanála for the construction of 741 ‘build to rent’ (BTR) residential units. The units will be located in eight apartment blocks ranging in height from four storeys to 23 storeys with lower height buildings located adjacent to the north-east and east site boundaries. The units will have a cumulative gross floor area of 68,535 square metres. The €163 million BTR apartment scheme is located at the rear of Connolly Station on Sheriff Street Lower in Dublin 1.
Work to start on 1,034 residential units in Dublin 22
Adwood Ltd, a consortium of Dublin builders Adroit and Maplewood, is expected to begin construction works in April on a strategic planning development for 1,034 residential units. The project also includes a community facility, a retail unit and two childcare facilities in buildings ranging from two to six storeys. The €135 million residential development is located at lands at Kilcarbery in Dublin 22.
€97m BTR/student unit scheme in Limerick awaits planning decision
Revington Land has applied for ten-year permission for a strategic planning application to An Bord Pleanála for 18 houses, 363 apartments and 189 student accommodation bed spaces. The €97 million build-to-rent apartment/student accommodation is located at the Canal Bank at Pa Healy Road, Park Road in Co Limerick. The board is expected to make a decision on the case by May.
Planning submitted for 444 apartments in Stepaside, D18
Ironborn Real Estate has submitted a strategic planning application to An Bord Pleanála for 444 apartments. The €97 million apartment development is located at Sector 3 in Aiken’s Village in Stepaside, Dublin 18. An Bord Pleanála is expected to make a decision on the case by May.
May decision due on 372 units in Celbridge
Ardstone Homes has submitted a strategic planning application for 372 units of apartments and houses. The €81.4 million residential development at the Townland of Crodaun in Celbridge in Co Kildare comprises 218 houses and 154 apartments. An Bord Pleanála is expected to make a decision on the case by May.
€7.7m nursing home under way in Carnew, Co. Wicklow
Cork’s MacKee Construction has begun working on the development of a 90-bed (87-bedroom), two-storey, split level nursing home development. The €7.7 million scheme is located at Gorey Road in Carnew in Co Wicklow. Works are expected to take in the region of 18 months to complete.
Build starts on apartments above Frascati SC
Main contractor Collen Construction in Co Dublin has begun works on a development of 45 apartment units over three storeys, from second to fourth floor level, over the permitted ground and first floor levels of retail/restaurant floorspace and permitted lower ground floor car park. The €7.5 million apartment development is located at the Frascati Shopping Centre on the Frascati Road in Blackrock, Co Dublin and is a continuation of the ongoing works at the shopping centre.
Pre-tender questionnaires for Mullingar MRI unit extension advertised
Pre-qualification questionnaires have been advertised by the HSE for a €4 million MRI unit extension at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Works are expected to start in the summer and take about 12 months to complete.
Phase 2 offices get under way in Leopardstown
Collen Construction has started enabling works in relation to phase 2 of the South County Business Park development. The €54 million office buildings are located at South County Business Park in Leopardstown in Dublin 18. One South County was completed last year. There are three office buildings planned in total on this site. Phase 2 is expected to take in the region of 24 months to complete.
